‘Due Today: Eco-consciousness’

Modelling clay, acrylic paint, gloss varnish, locally foraged stones, multi-purpose compost

The series of clay sculptures merges natural forms with the visceral texture and appearance of the human brain. By transforming animals and elements of nature into brain-like objects, the work subverts anthropocentric perspectives and prompts a reassessment of how we value the natural world. The unsettling visual language creates a tension between beauty and discomfort, encouraging viewers to recognise the deep interconnectedness between human life and the ecosystems we often exploit or ignore.
